Batman, Spiderman and Bike Boy

I don't' have a lot to say, but I do have a video of Owen riding his bike. It's from last weekend and already the wiggle wiggle of his butt has diminished.

Owen or rather Batman has been really tired lately, this was twice this week. He's getting ready to grow again... Eating and sleeping and eating. Both times he was watching TV for about 5 minutes and was completely passed out.

Since super heroes are "our" new thing we also had a visit from Spiderman. He was webbing up a storm. Possibly the cutest picture is of Spiderman holding the police car with his best police man face.

I put Exxon to shame, in a bad way!

I'm driving home today and I hear an odd sound - like running over a bottle cap. I looked in the rear view mirror and see smoke trailing behind me. I was on 500 only about 2 minutes from home so I chanced it. I didn't want to pay for a tow or risk the car not starting again. The car makes it home - smoke following behind me the whole way. I came to the conclusion that the oil cap fell off at some point. Later Matt and Were driving and we found where the slick started approx 1.5 miles or 4.5 quarts... SUCKY. We'll see what the mechanic says tomorrow - Thanks in advance DAD!

updates -pics

Hello all, I’ve been told that I am in "trouble" for not updating lately. But the fact is that we haven't done a lot since Christmas. We went to Omsi, but I forgot my camera (thanks for posting Lori).

Owen has been using a lot of new words lately, some of the favorites are: probably, maybe, actually, holy moly and asparagus (which he eats). Yesterday we took his bike out for a spin after adjusting the training wheels up a little and holy moly he rode and rode about a 1/4 mile to the park and then 1/4 mile back. He showed only minor signs of slowing on the way back. Matt is insistant that the training wheels will be off this summer. I’ll try and take a video of it and post it soon. I just figured out Youtube – Thanks Kelli.

We're also planning a big trip to Disneyland in May - which will be AWESOME! We get to ride a plane and a bus all before getting to Disney, then the real fun will start. We're currently accepting pre-orders for mouse ears. They make them for puppies and kitties too :)

Owen's Camera

Owen got a camera for Christmas. He took a lot of pictures and they ended up with a rather artistic feel. What do you guys think?

It's the little things...

The newest little thing - my car parked IN the garage, with the door closed (even though the picture is with it open). Ahhhh, the little things. My car will not have snow, or sleet or rain on it from now on.

S N O W !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodie, goodie, goodie! There was snow today in the greater Portland metro area. We drove up into the West Hills in search larger accumulations. There was only a light dusting here, unfortunately. The drive was lovely perfectly perfect with Christmas music accompanying the snow falling and swirling on the road.

Even though we were only out of the truck for about 10 minutes we managed to do quite a bit. The temperature for our excursion ranged between 20 and 27 degrees with a very brisk east wind. This one is of O right after we got out of the truck. The snow touched him, without asking.

Matt was plowed the road for Owen. Then O plowed the road too.

We ran into another family enjoying the snow and they took this picture of all of us.

Matt made a snow angel.

The most fun of at all for Owen were the snowballs or rather handfuls of snow that he was throwing everywhere. The glove came off with this throw.

Joy, Pure Joy!

I have the most beautiful sink. Parts and pieces of the whole have been laying around the house since I moved in, in may. I feel the need to explain the horribleness of the of the beauty's predecessor. It was a cheap stainless steal sink, about 4 inches deep with a rickety faucet and a garbage disposal that shot food onto the ceiling and sounded like grinding metal - you could hear it blocks away.

The new one is cast iron with a white porcelain coating about 9.5 inches deep a Kohler no less ahh the quiet splendor. The faucet is has a brushed nickel finish, sits high above the sink, with a pull out nozzle and two count them two options - spray or regular. There is now enough room to have a pot in the sink and fill it with water AND take it out without spilling a drop, or just fill it while it sits on the counter. I can CHOOSE!! The garbage disposal is so quiet I thought that it didn't work.

I am pleased as punch. I love it. Big thanks go to Mr Smith, Dad, Matt, Owen, the Academy of Arts and Sciences and of course God who gave us boys with green mustaches.
